How it works
Reading an analog clock is hard because it asks children to do two things at once: find the hour from a short hand that is often between numbers, and count minutes by fives from a long hand.
This workbook takes those apart. The hour first, with o’clock and half past. Then quarter hours, then five minutes, then the minute. Each skill has a page to read clocks and a page to draw the hands, so children practice both directions.
A paper clock to build, a “my day” schedule and short elapsed time questions connect the pages to the real clock on your wall.

What do I get?

What age is it for?
Most children learn the hour and half hour in 1st grade, five-minute times in 2nd grade and times to the minute in 3rd grade. The book follows that order, so one copy covers all three years.
Do I need anything else?
A paper fastener (brad) for the clock you build. A real analog clock at home helps a lot.
